Technology and Its History

Technology is in everyday life, we use it every second of every day. Yet, few are aware of how long of a history it has had. Early man used very primitive forms of technology to keep themselves alive. Today we use technology for everything from medical to home uses.

Technology by definition is just how we as humans use tools to adapt to our ever changing environment. Thus with the ever changing world we create new technology and with it comes each new age. Technology has been used for both good and bad. Weapons to destroy have been created and harnessed with each conflict and war. Though these weapons have been created, we have also created new technology to harness energy for our survival. Without technology, the wheel would have never been invented, and we would never be able to go anywhere. But this is not the only modern invention to come about from technology. Computers, dams, windmills, and a whole slew of inventions have come from just a few thousand years of technology.

You see, technology is everywhere. It is in our homes an our cars, our factories and even our hospitals. But with each new invention, each new age, comes great challenges and great catastrophes. In the past, many dams have failed and many power plants have had accidents due to the use of technology. But without technology, there would be no past or future, or present. Generations before us have relied on technology and so will we for our future.
