A cutting tool is a type of tool used in most factories to cut deformed or unacceptable metals. Majority of the time it refers to a cutting “bit.” The bit has to be harder and more resilient to the metal it is cutting, mostly because of the heat that the friction generates. There are many types of cutting tools. Most of the cutting tools are pretty common place such as drills, countersinks, even knives and scalpels.
One of the most well known of these kinds of tools are diamond tools. These type of tools are coated with a fine layer of diamond dust and metal powder; these abrasive tools are only used on certain types of metals and should not be used on steel or iron as it will lead to extreme wear and tear on the tool, as well as making work harder. Other forms of diamond tools are saw blades. Unlike industrial diamond tools, the bonds on these blades are not as hard. Because the blades spin at a fast rate the metal wears of much faster to release more diamonds bits so that the blade has a continuous cut.
Cutting tools are not always for construction or industry. There are other forms of cutting tools one might not think of, such as scissors or knives. A scalpel in particular is a cutting tool meant to save lives.
There are so many various types of tools that cut, gouge, carve, scrape, and slice. Who knows what the future might hold.
