You must know how to be a mathematics problem solver in order to figure out the sizes of what it is you are inventing. Computers are helpful do to the software that can be used to create things to. Engineers will usually build a smaller model of what it is they are going to build and then go from there. In order to do this, you must know how to covert from large to small in measurement.
